The Dryer drum light signal comes on in off whenever it wants too, even when the dryer is off.
Right after using the dryer, cleaning the link screen, and adding on another load, there are times when the dryer will not come on. Sometimes we unplug it and plug it back on, open the door and shut it, clean the link screen again, and sometimes it comes on and sometimes not.
A sears repairman came over for a recall on our washer, and informed us that it will eventually need a new motherboard. Since there's no recall on that I will have to buy my own part and install it myself.
I bought #W10111616 which is part #6 on the diagram, but now I come to find out there is also #AP3882833 which is part #3. So which one of these part do I really need with the problems I'm having with my dryer???...

Please help!!
Thank you!!

Well, can't say definitely which one you need, but it is highly likely that you have the right part, the controller rather than the other part which is the user interface board.

Either, both or neither could fix your problem, but I think the controller is very likely to be the one to replace.

Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.
