I have a Kenmore refrigerator with the freezer compartment at the bottom. A couple of years ago it started to collect water at the rear by the defrost fan rather than go out the drain tube. This water would then freeze up and stop the fan and water would start to leak out of the freezer compartment. I have had several repairmen look at it and they can not figure out what is wrong. The drain tube is clear and I have levelled the fridge but it still does it. It is also a sporadic thing. It will only happen every couple of months. Does anyone have any ideas?

i have seen this a few times , i usually try to pitch refrige back slightly and make certain that doors are not left open for any extended length of time ( like when wives and housekeepers clean / wipe out inside of refrige... .. ( i have added a condensate drain heater [ aftermarket ] in order to prevent freezing of that line. )

Thanks for the help. Any idea where I
could purchase a condensate heater? Would Kenmore sell one?
