Gas range under extended warranty repaired numerous times over six years has never worked properly. Suspect door does not seal properly. When pre-heating, moist hot air escapes from top of door, condenses on door top and control panel above shutting oven down with various error messages. Hinges have been replaced twice and door seal twice (control panel 4 times). When closing door it appears the gasket is seating a little too low across the top of the oven opening. Is there a larger, thicker gasket that can be installed for this oven that would better seal the door at the top?

Jenn-Air Model Number: jags8850adb

That model number is incorrect. Please double check it and also post the appliance's serial number.

Not that I've heard of and it shouldn't be necessary.

Maybe it is the inner door panel that is the problem, sitting too low on the hinges to allow the proper sealing of the door?

I can't think of any other possibilities on your model if the hinges themselves are not he problem.

Jenn-Air did have a problem with the hinges and hinge receivers causing the oven door to not close properly on some of their products but yours is not one of the affected models and even uses a totally different hinge design.

JFYI
