My diswasher has worked well. Every 6 months or so I have to tear it apart and clean out the internal screen that can be accesed from inside the tub. I have heard over the past day or so that when it washes it sounds like something is stuck in the little grinder (louder than normal) and then goes away, but it cycles up and down. This afternoon, it suddenly just stopped washing. It will fill, it will pump out just fine, but when it goes to wash it will just hum, as if the impeller is jammed. I opened it up, pulled out the screen, and can sortof turn the impeller - not the easiest thing to reach. Once I did get it to run, but it was very loud and then just quit. It still drains, but won't wash. Is it possible that something is jammed in the impeller, and can I get to it without pulling the dishwasher out and tearing it apart? Any help would be appreciated.

All - Just wanted to let you know that I did a bit more digging on this website and found that there is a separate pump for the drain. I will be working to replace the main motor. Thanks
