But I can't get the circuit board open at all. I have tried everything that I know, but I'm afraid to force the left side half way back. It appears that the top piece goes all the way under the metal front of the dishwasher. I don't want to break it. Is there anything that I'm not doing correctly that is easy to communicate?

Thanks in advance.

Hey guys I know this thread is way old but came across with the same problem. At first in the picture above I truly thought who in the world put a picture of my board on here lol exact same island. I have a few questions about the adding the wire to the 3 posts if anyone is still available

Mine was not as black as yours.
Depending on how good your solder is and how "resistive" the black part is, you may have the same problem again in a few months/years. What I would do is use an 18ga single strand wire (or just some small wire) and loop it on top of the 3 pins that are on the "black island" on your picture. That will solve the problem forever.
At this point, just keep using it and if it goes again, just put this wire on,
Did you clean the dark spot (soot) before soldering?
Cheers!

Hey there on the adding the wire what type? Copper? And my area is exactly like the picture but the black will not come off or change it literally almost appears built in that way. Amd I’m a amateur solder so when adding the wire do you attach to the top of pin or sink into the melted solder at base of pin
