Hi, how does a oven without a pilot light still emit an odor of gas? The stove is old but very clean with very little usage. I cannot find it anywhere on the net. It works great, but has to be lit with a match. But when I opened the oven door after a couple days of hookup, I smelled gas. Smell not coming from connector sources. Thanks

Quote:oven without a pilot light It has a pilot just maybe not a constant pilot. The pilot is what you are lighting to use it. BTW. Such a system is often referred to as a 'match light' ignition system. Quote:how does a oven emit an odor of gas? I would think it would have to be from a leaking line or connection. Very dangerous! JMO Dan O. www.Appliance411.com The Appliance Information Site=D~~~~~~
