The freezer section stops freezing, then the refrig area gets warm. No signs of being frosed up, but after leaving off for a day or so, it starts and runs fine...for about a day or two. Then all repeats.

It may be going into the defrost cycle and the defrost thermostat is not working letting it get too hot. How to check-Refrigerator Repair Guide: How To Fix a Refrigerator - ACME HOW TO.com

Woodchuckie,

The fan keeps running and I think if the defrost was on, it would stop. Do you still think it would be the defrost thermostat if the fan is running (continual when power on)? The defost timer must be part of the electronic control on this model.

If the unit is turned off, sometimes it will start cooling on restart(indicating there is freon and working compressor), but then hours later stops cooling again (fan stays running).

Thanks, Toby
