I am needing some assistance in replacing the front felt seal in my dryer. When I opened the dryer to look for the front drum bearing and slides, I found the felt mashed, tangled and hanging. I have replaced the bearing and slides and I have a new felt but have no idea where it is suppose to be put and the new felt piece has no directions with it. I do not see any adhesive on the old felt or the dryer so that doesn't point me in any directions either. I'm a visual person but any diagrams I have found do not really help. John, from parts chat, sent me this link https://www.appliancepartspros.c...ect/6/z/h/6zhbzi8v2g.gifand also told me to post at this forum for some additional assistance. Thank you for your help!

Hi Renet
This is easy to do, but hard to describe.
Assuming your felt is part 312 in diagram, it goes under and around the plastic frame, and loops back at about half way up to hold it in place. The looping back should hold it in place.
I hope this is enough, I cannot think of how to describe it any better. If you still cannot work it out, you might visit a used appliance store in your community and find someone working on a GE like this who can show you.
Good luck and let us know if you get it on.
