We noticed that the light bulbs in the refrigerator won't go out, and the door open alarm goes off. We are guessing the Door Open sensor switch has failed, or just the switch to turn off the lightbulbs, but we don't have a manual so we can't find it.

We have a service contract with GE for this, but they tell us we're not covered for this so we're on our own.

We have removed the bulbs to keep it cool. In the meantime, the Door Open alarm has stopped beeping.

Any idea of where we should be looking??

Problem solved! We found an arm that attaches to the door at the top hinge had come undone. We couldn't find the missing screw, but we have the same fridge in the garage. We took the screw off that fridge and attached the arm in the kitchen fridge, and everything worked fine. Then I heard the alarm go off in the garage -- that fridge thought the door was open, and the light bulbs wouldn't go off. We found a screw that seemed to fit, and all is well.
