Would like some assistance on reversing the swing on an LG WM3001 Steam Front Loader Washer. I have it stacked with a steam LG dryer and the door swings are trouble in my small tight closet installation... All the front loaders seem to have the same swing (except the very early and problematic Duet.. 8 years ago.. which could be reversed but had other problems..)

On the LG Steam it seems like a front panel removal, switch the door latch , turn the convex bubble around and remount the hinge - may need to add a back plate.??

I haven't started the project yet, so would like some advice; simple stuff like getting the front panel off without damaging the seals would be great.

Sorry no one has replied yet, they probably have the same position I do in that this is a relatively new machine that I do not have any experience on and probably few if any of the techs that volunteer to respond on this forum have either.

I would try to contact LG for some guidance, although I should warn you in advance that they are not the most customer friendly people.

Good luck and sorry we could not be of greater help.

I got my local appliance fix'it guy to do some calling around.. Sounds like it might be a one-up project.. but I'll try to remember to post some photos and instructions for the next guy/gal - I keep hearing that people want this reversability of washer door but nobody seems to know the detail as to why it can't/ISN'T offered from the manufacture..

And, YEp know what you mean about LG service; email'd the corporate folks and they practically gave me a forum letter back with the board room mumbo jumbo that said they weren't responsibility (and probably would have to be shown which end of the washer was UP).
Just made me laugh as I work for Corp. that sometimes does that b_s_ too.. hopefully better though.

Oh, Yeah - forgot to mention that my spouse has the utmost confidence in me - which will go along way on this project - thinks all LG needs to do is drop a box of parts off on the driveway and I'll re-assemble with the hinge on the other side; wish me luck.

Well, good luck, it's probably a matter of preserverance, and post what happens so we can all learn from what you did.

Thanks
