I Have A Kenmore Refrigerator That Is Made By Whirlpool.the
Ice Maker # 4317943 Has Frozen Up Twice Inthe Last 2 Months.
When This Occurs The Tray Fills With Water,but Does Not Complete The Cycle To Dump The Ice Out.the Water Then Continues To Flow Causing A Solid Block Of Ice In The Cube
Holder Box Until The Water Feed Freezes Also.then It Does Nothing.do I Need To Replace The Whole Ice Maker Or Is This A Problem With Water Flow Valve.please Help.

Most likely the problem is a bad ice maker itself.

It could be the mold and heater assembly or the head module.

It is pretty hard to find out exactly which part is bad and, money wise, I would recommend to replace the whole ice maker.

- The APP part number for the ice maker is AP2984633
