Hi Scuotto

I think we are a little confused by your request. The thermostat you ask about is simply two wires and a heat activated switch.

If you can explain in some detail what you are trying to do I think we could help you.

Thanks

Hello,
This Amana thermostat has four wires on the left side, one wire on the right side.

Hi Frank

Here is what comes up with this part number, and I check on an alternate site and got the same part.

Part Details - WHIRLPOOL THERMOSTAT, part number: Y61372

Getting back to your original inquiry, is what you were looking for how to connect your part, which is probably not this part?

Sorry for any confusion, but to me wiring diagram means a diagram of the part, which I am guessing is not what you want. If it is I do not know where that would be available.

Anyway, see if you can check the part number again and let's see if we can sort out this confusion.

Thanks

Here is your parts breakdown
Replacement parts for AMANA LE4307L | AppliancePartsPros.com

I tried to find a wiring diagram for you but had no luck.
Have you looked in the control console many manufacturers put the diagram in here.

If you look in the "Motor" section, Item 24 is the thermostat and Item 26 is it's heater. Perhaps you have a device that is all in one.
Your connections are probably a Common, a Normally Open and a Normally Closed contacts and then 2 for the heater.

Here is a service manual and a tech sheet
http://www.servicematters.com/m...ary/docs/RS3200007R0.pdf
http://www.servicematters.com/m...ary/docs/RT3220013R0.pdf

Although not exactly the same as yours it should be close enough that you can figure out the wiring with a meter.

Hello, :)

There isn't a wiring diagram in the manual, or on the dryer.

I disconnected the wires, and I'm not sure where they go.

The left side (marked 2) has four wires: blue, black, red and white.

The right side (marked 3) has one orange wire.

I need a picture showing which color goes to which terminal.

Thanks, Frank

I am not what you would call an expert. But, if I understand your question, you want to know if the four wires go to a specific terminal on the thermostat, and logically, if the one wire goes to a specific terminal on the thermostat. If this is the case, there are two things to consider. First, I looked at the photo of the part as linked by one of the earlier posts. It appears to my eye that one of the terminals is male and one is female. If this is the case, then which wire goes where should be determined as to the ability to connect it to a terminal of opposite gender. Second, and I hope that one of the more sr. members will verify this, this is an on/off switch. It is not powered, it simply allows power to pass through. While not having seen the original configuration, I would believe that the four wires on one side are receiving power from the one wire on the other when the thermostat is in the closed position. It does not matter which terminal you put the one wire and which terminal you put the four wires as long as they are not the same terminal. If you put the four wires on one common terminal, and the one wire on the remaining terminal, I think you will have your solution.

Thanks for the info. All the terminals male.
There is one terminal on the right marked #3
There are four terminals on the left marked #2 These are not common.
so I have to connect the black, blue, red and white wires to the correct terminals.

I hate to beat a dead horse here, but without a better idea of what your part is, I don't think anybody here can help you. The number you reference is simply a two terminal proposition, not six, unless there is a expansion adapter attached to the original terminal. If you can take a digital picture of what you are working with and insert it into a post we might have a better chance of assisting you with your problem, otherwise there is insufficient data.
