our microwave does not heat, and it smells like its burning and buzzes.

Sounds like something wrong in the high voltage part of the microwave which consists of four parts: magnetron, diode, transformer and capacitor. The three first of them can be bad. Most common problem with GE microwaves is a bad magnetron.
