Please help!
I have a reasonably new, about two years old frigidaire fridge that quit cooling after a power outage. It runs but doesn't cool. and I am not sure if the compressor is running or not.
Anyway, my wife is a retired apartment manager and one of her old maintence guys told her over the phone without looking at it that it probably needed a 3 in 1 switch.
Well I made the decision to have the neighborhood appliance shop come by and give me an estimate. Well the guy came by when I was working so i was unable to speak with him or see what he did as far as diagnosing the machine.
According to the wife he just opened the front doors and after a few questions to the wife about what happened he wrote and left me an estimate for a bi-metal switch and a thermostat control module.
Well I purchased and replaced both parts but it did not fix the fridge, it still won't cool and now my wife thinks i am an idiot for not listing to her instead of the appliance company repairman.
I see in the parts diagrams for the machine both a starter and a run capacitor but I don't know if i need one or the other or both or niether one. I have zero experience fixing appliances or anything electrical.
Anyone have some advice to get this thing running and save me from my grief?
