I push the power button to start the tumble and hear like it wants to start the tumble but it doesnt start. Last week when I started it the barrell spun for a few seconds then it stopped and shut off. before that it ran for a while and made a slight grinding type sound and shut off after ten minutes. Any ideas?

Seems like a bad motor, either frozen bearings or a bad start winding.

How much do you think it will cost to replace a motor to an Amana Dryer? Do you think a dryer that is about 13+ years old worth repair? Thank you

If you fix it yourself, yes, but not by a tech. probably would charge around $150.
