Hi Ice maker has been acting up lately-like not working unless I stick hand in ice maker and break off ice cubes, like machine isn't finishing cycle and now ice cubes stuck in mid cycle and I can't break off cubes this time. Any help will be deeply appreciated Thanks, Sean

Sean,
Sounds like the ice maker has gone bad.
What is the complete model number of the refrigerator?
Gene.

Whirlpool-ED2GHGXMQ00 Here's some numbers I found on ice maker-106 626662 I was able to smash cubes in maker and thus clearing out mold-came back a little while later and was able to start cycle again-doubt if will go full cycle. Thanks

If the ice maker does not release ice cubes then the problem can be a bad motor, a bad ejector or a bad mold heater. The correction is to replace the ice maker. - The part number for the ice maker is AP2984633Gene.
