My whirlpool ED25RFXFW01 stopped working over the weekend. It is a secondary refrigerator, and is in my garage. Came out to find all of the ice in the ice maker had melted, and both the freezer and refrigerator were warm. I can hear a clicking sound every so often, which I am assuming is the start relay trying to turn the compressor on. A quick search here tells me that most likely the relay is bad, as we have had several large storms recently that caused surges. Is the AP3083556 kit my best option, or is there another relay kit that I should use?

thanks!!

Yes, that seems like the right part. Make notes which wire whent where and order the start device mentioned. Before ordering, verify you presently have a square, black ptc device and a white, thin klixon mounted to the compressor, if not, you will need assistance.
