My ice maker only make hollow ice... It has alwasy done this. It is getting worse. Do I need to replace the ice maker or the water valve????

Such problem could be if there is insufficient temperature (more then 3-5 degrees) in the freezer or there is not enough water for the ice maker.
The first thing I would do is check the temperature in the freezer. Normally it suppose to be about zero. It it's more - adjust the temperature control.
Post your findings.
