My ice maker was working fine until I had to turn off the water becasue the main water line into the back of the frig. was leaking. I turned off the water and repaired the lead. When I turned the water back on the ice maker works and turns like it is making ice but no water enters the ice maker. I checked the water line and water is still in the water line but none goes to the ice maker. I have checked the ice maker arm inside and can't find out what the problem is or how to fix it. Please help. It has a pure source 2 filter system.

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear. If it gets water, the ice maker may start cycling when it freezes and dumps the ice.

If I switch the wires on the inlet valve and it works, do I need to replace the duel valve ??

No, that will show you the valve is working and the line is clear and not frozen. It will be an ice maker problem.

OK, I have switched the wires on the duel inlet valve in the back of the frig. like you stated. Now the water despencer does not work except when it sounds like the water kicks on like it's feeding water to the ice maker but the water comes out of the water despencer on the front of the frig. I guess the valve is working but the water is still not going into the ice maker and making ice. Any other ideas, could it be frozen ot a blockage in the line. ??? I'm lost still. James

With the wires swapped and with the wires in the proper position the water comes out of the water dispenser. Right?

The fill tube at the back of the ice maker, a little round tube the water pours from to fill the ice mold could be stopped up with ice because the water valve is leaking slowly letting the water freeze when it gets to the fill tube.
