The stove in my rental went out. It is a whirlpool brand. There is no power to the stovetop or the oven. When I turn on a burner then I show power (the clock shows up) I have held the reset button for 5 seconds and it changes from PO to EO and still no heat. WThen when I turn the burrner to the off position the clock goes out.
The guy across the street said he would "throw a couple of bucks my way" to buy the stove which leads me to believe it might be something simple (switch or something) Anybody....help...please...Thanks:)

In order to provide the most accurate advise I need the complete model number of the unit.

If this is a counter top unit, then the name plate should be on the bottom panel (from inside of the cabinet) or under the top panel (if there is not a glass top).

If this a freestanding unit, then the name plate could be on the door frame, on the frame behind the bottom drawer or under the top panel.

Gene.

OK, I feel really stupid! All I had to do was flip the breaker switch!
My tenants told me they flipped the breaker and the stove still didn't work. First mistake! I should have checked for myself! The odd thing was the power (clock) came on when I turned the burner switch on (but not the burner, no heat) There's a good reason for this too! In the breaker box there are 2 breakers switches for the stove. They had only reset one.
Thank you for trying to figure this one out and I have now graduated from the school of great ignorance and hard knocks!
