My washing machine continues to fill up even when it is off. I think the hot and cold valves need to be replaced, but am not to sure? If that is the case, would someone be able to tell me where to order these parts? Thank you.

You can probably get the parts from Appliance Parts Pros. Note check your Model Number it does not look correct for a Whirlpool, they usually have a couple letters at the start. Model Number LocatorDoes sound like the valves need replacing especially if it still fills when the unit is unplugged. This way you know that there is no way the machine can power them and one of them is stuck open. |

Yes. The model # is SM 8280869 and the make is Inglis...but on other sites, they Whirlpool would come up when the model # was entered!! Would there be anything else that would be causing this to happen?

Would there be anything else that would be causing this to happen? No. The valves should close when power is removed. |
