The dryer takes a lot longer to dry clothes and it gets really hot on the back top of the dryer. We have cleaned all the vents so that is not a problem. Can you give us an idea what part needs to be replaced??

The fact that it is getting hot on top indicates poor airflow. So the blower may not be working or the vent is stopped up. You say the vent is not stopped up but did you check it all the way to where it goes outside. If the blower wasn’t working usually it would be very noisy. Hope this helps! Clothes Dryer Repair Guide
