But most likely, you have an issue in the ADC board( adaptive defrost control). Part number: AP5326047
The defrost thermostat is mounted on the top coil of the evaporator behind the freezer back wall. The ADC board is located in the control panel of the refrigerator compartment. Thanks and Good Luck, :) :) :)

Could be i need to order one of those too. i changed the bi metal maybe it will get going, but when i plugged it back in i thik i heard the compressor cycling, maybe a cap going as well .. the refridge seems to be doing okay thats why i though it would be the bi metal.. but hey I work on airplanes, not appliances..lol I though what i ordered was a defrost timer.. sooooo probably what you said, will try to get one of those too. It seems to be keeping food, but hate to have it go completley out right at thanksgiving. My wife will probably make me go to crakerbarrel if it does.

Rurye, A defective ADC board, can produce low or intermittent voltage to the compressor relay and overload, causing a starting issue. You could check for 120 VAC on the wire to the overload relay to chassis ground and verify the voltage from the ADC board to the compressor, and determine the issue. :) :) :)

When it stops cooling, tell us what is/ is not running. You should check the compressor, perhaps it is not running when this happens.
