Fridge works for 2 days then stops. I have to clean the coils off in the back that are frozen. After that it works again for another 2 days and the coils ice up again. Any ideas. thanks,Andy

I'm assuming you are talking about the evaporator coil inside the freezer. Most likely the problem is a faulty defrost system which consists of three parts: the defrost timer (#648 on the third break down diagram), the defrost thermostat (#620 on the same break down diagram) and the defrost heater (#618 on the same break down diagram). Before you perform this test make sure the evaporator coil is frozen up. Locate the defrost timer and, using a flat screwdriver, slowly turn the central shaft CW until it clicks. Wait about 10 minutes and check if the defrost heater is hot. If it's hot then replace the defrost timer. If it's not hot, then check the defrost heater for continuity. Replace if it's open. If the defrost heater is closed then replace the defrost thermostat. - The part number for the defrost timer AP2061708 - The part number for the defrost heater AP2071466 - The part number for the defrost thermostat AP2071257 - Here are the break down diagrams for the GE refrigerator Model TBX14SPGRWHGene.
