Hi
I have a Maytag Dryer Model # LDG8414aae that will not shut off unless I open the door. When the timer gets down around zero it stops heating but does not stop tumbling. When I rock the timer knob back and forth across zero, I hear a clicking noise down low like a solenoid or something but does not stop.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Would it restart by itself if you close the door? If not, replace the timer. - The timer Part number: AP4294081

Then most likely the problem is a bad timer.
