I have a whirlpool washer and the aggitator dogs are broke.I cant figure out how to get them out.I have removed the intire aggitator by taking out center bolt but cant get any farther please help.

See if this site does not help. Note you do not need to remove the entire agitator, just the part that has the dogs

I need to know how to get the dogs out.Yes I did take out the agitator but still cant figure out how the dogs come out.Any help on how they come out would be greatly apperciated.

Turn the top half of the agitator upside down and the cam with the dogs should drop out.

I would replace the entire cam and cam dog assembly, it is very inexpensive. Here is the kit

If you cannot get the cam and dogs out try working it with a screw driver. If something has happened to jam them in and damage the top piece of the agitator you may need to replace the entire top assembly, but I hope not.

thank you!yes they where stuck but last night i was able to pull the top of the agitator off and the dogs fell out thanks.
