We almost always use the More Dry setting. When I got up yesterday morning the dryer was still running after being started late the night before but was not hot... the clothes still had some residual heat and were dry. Tried to use again last night and the flame came on so I let it run for about 20 minutes and went to check the flame but it was out and the towels had not dried at all. I tried a different setting and watched for flame; there was a bright orange glow as if it were trying to ignite but it went out also...I assume because there was no flame. I read in another thread that it could be the coils. Please help. I don't want to buy a new dryer, we really like this one.

Thanks.

Based on your description, you need a Coil kit for your dryer. The coils will age and not be able to hold the valves open resulting it the burner working at the beginning of the cycle, but then just stops. They are easy enough to replace on the burner assembly, and then you can dry clothes again.
