Can anyone tell me what would be making a clicking noise any time the washer starts to spin?

It is almost impossible to diagnose a noise from afar. I would take off the front panel and operate it and see you can determine where it is coming from. It might be something simple like something between the drum and tub, or it might be the brakes hanging up.
