I have a Dryer which catches clothing in top part of front rim leaving grease marks. From the threads it looks like I need to replace the glides and front seal. I ordered the parts today.

How do I access the front of the drum. I can't figure it out for the life of me. Unscrewed control panel fasteners - where do I go from here. Does the top slide forward on hooks? Are there screws I can't see. I am very frusterated and would appricaiate any help.

Thank you very much.

Hi Snowman

Almost all GE dryers have a set of screws that are accessed inside the door on the upper side of the cabinet. If you unscrew these you can take off the top and you will find two screws on either side of the front panel that will allow you to take off the front panel. Be sure and disconnect the door switch so you do not break those wires.

If this is not the situation with your machine, let us know.

Good luck with your repair.
