gas dryer got hotter than normal for no apparent reason i could find,it shut off and will not start again, dash works normaly just won't start the cycle, any insight would be great. I had another gas dryer that did this and it was a blown thermal fuse but the drum turned, there just was no heat

I haven't seen the schematic on your dryer; I couldn't pull up anything from the model number you posted.
A blown thermal fuse will generally cut the power to the motor.
As for the overheating, check the vent or duct system for clogs, kinks, or other obstructions. It needs to be clear from the dryer all the way to the outside of the house.
While checking the thermal fuse, also check the operating (or, cycling) thermostat if there is one. The failure of a cycling thermostat will cause the heat to go higher, before it gets cut off by the hi-limit thermostat.
