Although this is my first post on this forum, I believe I have narrowed my problem through searching similar posts.
My Maytag washer will fill up with water in the reg. and perm. press cycles and then does not advance to the next segment of the cycle (agitate, rinse, spin, etc.) The timer does not advance through the cycle, and the machine will just sit there with the tub filled with water.
We have tried advancing the timer knob one click at a time, but it will not trigger any segment (rinse, drain, etc.) on the Regular cycle, and will only start doing something at the Rinse segment on the Permanent Press cycle.
As of know, the only cycle that is working in it's entirety is the Delicates cycle.
Does this sound like a timer or the two-speed motor only working on one-speed? I would appreciate any help you could provide. Thanks!
