I'm having issues with the spin cycle on my Kenmore HE3 washer. Sometimes the cloths are soaking wet after the cycle is complete. I have watched it a few times and made a number of observations. The spin cycle seems to have slower RPM's than it used to and makes a different sound. Seems worse with heavier loads. Almost seems/sounds like a belt slipping. When I turn the basket when empty, the drag on the basket seems to vary without any pattern. Sometimes spins freely and othertimes their is a significant drag on the basket.

Any suggestions or ideas? I am a pretty good do it your self type so would tackle myself if it turns not to be a major repair project.
