Hi all!
What a great find.
I have a 1.5 year old K/A side by side with ice and water in the door. I get water fine, it makes ice but will not dispense ice. At first a good smack to the front of the door would get it going... now nothing.
I pulled out the motor and get 70 ohms across the windings. I figure that is good.?? When I check voltage from the board I get 6 volts DC. Am I testing wrong? I am not sure what to order, any help would be awesome.

The solenoid clicks and voltage goes up from "0" to 6 vdc. Polarity changes as it should for crushed or cubed. Anything I am missing?

Thanks

I'm not 100% sure but I think KA, Amana,Kenmore, and some others are all made by Whirlpool. I know from this and other sites there are lots of problems with Whirlpool ice and control boards. I had to replace both in my Kenmore.
If your icemaker has an electronic eye you can test to see if tthe board is good or not.
If not can't help but it's worth a shot. They are not cheap just to replace...about $70.
Good luck
