Hello,
I have a Sears Coldspot upright freezer (about 1972 model). It always worked great until recently. It will stop working altogether, but if I turn the temperature control down and up it will start working again. I have to mess with this at least once or twice per day. I would really like to keep this thing running rather than replace it purely for sentimental reasons.
Any advice would be great! especially with testing parts!!

Thank you!!
