I have a side by side Whirlppol fridge for 4 years and suddenly the ice maker just stopped making ice. I'm not a plumber but I did check the following: The water dispenser side still dispenses water. I removed the water inlet valve and had it tested. It works fine. I blew through the plastic line into the ice maker and air travels thru, so no ice blockage there. So what is the problem? Should I order a new ice maker unit, call a plumber or ??

I also have ordered a new water filter, though I don't think that makes a difference.
