The first think you want to check is the coupling, this part here.

On your way into the machine, check the pump for an obstruction.

Had to replace coupler a few months ago, working fine since. Lid switch works okay. Timer buzzes and won't advance on any setting. Will not drain either, fortunately the drain hose is a bottom feed and tub can be gravity drained.
