Only one drying cycle (Auto Dry Miser Low Heat) was functioning, the other 3 failed to operate, I submitted a blog and it was suggested that the problem coud be in the timer or the timer resistor.
Using a digital multimeter I checked the resistor continuity and found it OK.
I then checked each cycle on the timer checking continuity on each of the connections found on the back of the timer. Attaching one probe to the timer connection and checking continuity with each of the connections for each cycle, the one connection that shower no continuity (NC) for all 4 cycles was the V (violet) connection.
Is this indicative of a failed timer?

Not really, the violet wire is the voltage to the "bias" heater on the regulating thermostat, when you select the medium or low heat setting.

The black to blue circuit and the black to red circuit(s) at the timer are the importanr circuits, they must have a "closed" circuit in order for the dryer to run and heat.
Re check for a closed circuit between blue and violet, at the timer with the low heat setting selected. On high heat there should be an open circuit.
