i have a maytag refrig model psd2350dr (performa) side by side with water/ice in the door. Everything works fine except there is a pinhole leak in the water tank which is located in the lower refrig compartment. It looks like it is made from polyethylene(milk jug material), but when I try to pacth it or apply a pin point of heat to "remelt" it it just doesn't work.The pinhole is on the 'inside' of the bend, and right on a seam. Of course no other sealant will work either.
2 questions;
Any one have any ideas on patching the pinhole?
If I have to replace the tank does the new tank come with the water lines already attached? ( the fittings look like they are heated, not just a hose clamp on a nipple) If the new tank comes with the lines already attached, what is the fitting on the other end(a heat fitting like on the tank end, or clamp and nipple, or pressure fitting?) The water line is standard 1/4 " line.
Thanks for the help

Here is your tank. It does have the hoses attached.http://www.appliancepartspros.com/PartImage.aspx?imgid=Z3BqLjBfbXNfOTg2MzAwMTYvTFBXL3NvdG9ocHRyYXAv

I would try an epoxy made for plastic. An auto parts store has different kinds for different materials.
