We installed the new icemaker yesterday (4/30) part # AP4077385. Water is coming through the copper tubing, but not beyond the valve that plugs iinto the bottom of the refrigerator. No water is getting to the icemaker. We don't know what to do now. Dee

Please note, this is a brand new valve. The refrigerator was unplugged for about 5 hours, there was no water in the tube to freeze!

Sorry, I was under the impression that you only replaced the icemaker. Make sure everything is plugged in good. If the refrigerator has been unplugged for five hours it may just have to get cold enough for the icemaker to cycle. Although it should have cycled by now make sure the refrigerator is getting cold enough.

Well, double checking electrical connections, sure enough the water started running when the freezer got cold enough......Now it won't stop. I got 2 quarts of water in the pan before I discovered it! lucky!! Turning the lever stops it. but it's not stopping at a fill spot and making ice. Now what?

Seems like a bad icemaker. Icemaker is supposed to turn on the water valve for like 9 seconds to fill a normal size icemaker mold. As you stated, the water flow stopped when you turned the icemaker off!!
Also, make sure your freezer temperature is well below 15 degrees for normal icemaker operation.

There should be a fill control on the device that you can adjust. The instructions for the ice maker should advise you where it is at.
