My icemaker is operating but the lever that activates the chute is not. Three months earlier the water dispenser stopped working. What repairs do I have to make and is it a do-it-yourself job? Refrigerator bought 5/99.

Looks like all of the parts which could cause these problems are no longer available. They even not shown on the diagrams.

That's really discouraging. I would think that such parts miight be available somewhere in the United States. I was told that this unit was such a popular model. Another triumph of American manufacturing.
