GE WPRB8050D0WW
Manufacture Date 6.1.04

Unit will not spin or agitate.

When I put the unit in field service mode, and the lid switch is working correctly, as I run through the positions, the hot and cold water work and the pump will drain the water.

AL, AH, SP do not function, but I hear different relays click for each position.

The motor, spins freely and has resistance between the appropriate pins and looks like it's in perfect condition.

I measured the voltage at each of the pairs of wires while going through the different service mode positions. The only voltages I get are for the pump and the hot and cold solenoids.

The water sensor is working correctly because it shuts off the intake solenoids at the different appropriate levels.

When the tank fills to do selected level, the water stops. Then I hear relays click but no voltage on any of the pins on either the motor or the output connectors on the control board.

Is there a motor fuse somewhere I'm missing? All the other electrical components are working i.e. inlet water solenoids, water level sensor and drain pump.

There is one strange type of error code what I go through the different positions. It's not an E5 it's a 05 and I cannot clear it.

Thanks,

John

GE does not make tech data available to us, but if you are getting error codes that are not in the error code listing the control unit seems like the logical place to start with replacement parts.
