My refrigerator stops cooling after about 12-18 hours. One day it stopped working (light is still on, so it has power) so I turned it off and back on by way of the control knob inside the fridge. It cools down, but after about half a day it stops cooling. I can do this reset thing over and over, however not very practical. What is going on here? I looked through the forums but found most talk about a clicking near the compressor; I don't hear anything. What do I do?
Thanks for your help.

Was thanked: 2 time(s) in 2 post(s)
The next time it stops, remove the control and tap on the cold control or defrost timer ( a white plastic box). You will probably find one of them is bad.

I removed the control panel and tapped on the thermostat controller, it started right up. Thanks for your help.
