I've got a Side-by-side I just picked up used that works great except that I have really low water flow at the dispenser. The people I got it from said they think they got the wrong filter when they replaced it a month or so ago as that is when the problem started but it appears to me to be the correct filter. Is ther any way to check teh flow of teh filter ot do I have to just get another one and try it and hope that fixes it? Ot is ther a way to make it work with the filter out? I really want to get this working with out spending a lot of money. I got the thing for free and want to keep my cost as close to that as possible

Make sure you have good pressure where the water line comes into the water inlet valve on the back. Disconnect the line after shutting the water off and check the screen filter and turn the water on letting it run into a container to see if the pressure is good.

Change The Filter. Test With Out Filter Inserted.

I tried taking the filter out and testing it that way and nothing changed. Disconnected the inlet hose from the valve adn have good flow and water pressure there and the screen in the valve is clean. Pulled teh valve out and both coils are working (I even pulled the valve apart and the plungers are moving). I only get a trickle out of the yellow coil when the water dispenser turns on. Dumb questions but change the valve adn my problem goes away?

It sounds like the valve is not opening all the way so yes, replacing the valve would fix the problem. You may can take the valve back apart and clean it and flush it out. May be some debris clogging it.
Perhaps you can swap the wires and the water lines on the valves and see how the other valve does when you try the dispenser. Or just disconnect the water line and watch it there.
