We have checked all the hoses/connections and lines, replaced the impellar and gaskets. The diswasher will only drain in diagnostic mode hi temp wash, energy saver dri, hi temp wash , enegy saver dri although i have studied the tech sheet I am still confused. I dont think it is running a complete test...seems pretty short. So would this lead you to believe it is a control panel or a timer.
As I said the unit does physically drain so there are no clogs or kinks just wont drain during normal operation.

Mcorkle,

Without a model number it's a bit rough, but based on your description and information, it appears you're going to need the control board/timer.

If all checks good, and proper, the diagnostic test mode doesn't take long at all, But since the unit drains in the test mode, the issue would be in the control board circuitry, if it wont activate in the regular ioperation mode.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)

Sorry for the duplicate post (internet on the fritz too)
Ok model # KUDI24 oddly enough i ran the DW on HI temp wash and it drained after the cycle. ran it in Normal and left standing water, I can use the cancel button and it initiates the drain cycle. Took panel apart couldnt see anything obviously burnt or shorted on any of the circuitry.
The wash cycles seems very long but after researching i guess 1.5 hours is the norm? Hi temp wash cycle is shorter than Normal Cycle.
Does this DW have a timer? Or is it part of the control circuit? Let me know what if anything else i should test and what part you think i will need. It is has a stainless steel tub and motor is running great w/ new impellar so i would like to keep it after seeing the price of a comparable new one. Thanks Michelle

Michelle,

The control board and touchpad buttons are all combined in one component.

Here at AppliancePartsPros.com, we have a very good "no questions asked" return policy, but I'm pretty sure the new control will solve your issue.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)
