Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 4/27/2009(UTC) Posts: 3		My washer runs about five minutes and then all the lights start flashing I press the pause and start buttons together and it give me an E41 error code. From the documentation I have found it thinks the door is open. I replaced the door switch/lock assembly and made it thru one load of laudry before it started happening again. I have made sure all the connectors are seated firmly. Any suggestions on where to look from here? --Bruce

Then if it is open replace the control board. I would hate to see you replace the control board and not fix the problem!! It ran once so the control board is probably OK. Try unplugging the unit between loads, now does it run? Could be the board is hanging up and when yo replaced the switch, you unplugged it, reset the board and that is why it ran once. I would double check the door strike. Perhaps try it while pushing on the door where the switch is. Could be it is right on the edge of closing.

I have tried unplugging between loads and that does not help (have tried that 3 or 4 times) I have tried leaning against the door while a load ran, that did not help either. A couple of times when the errors have a occured the switch/lock was still engaged and the door could not be opened so I don't "think" the door or the catch on the door are the problem.
