while attempting to replace blown vent hood lightbulb I tripped the house panel breaker because there was a broken off light bulb in the appliance that I did not see. "pow" after reseting the house breaker i get no power to hoodvent fan or light but microwave still functions. i suspect a bown transformer that supplies three settings of 110 volts to three way ligts and i believe 40 volts to the fan. could it be this or another component in the chain. i have an experienced freind coming over with a meter. how do we trace down the blown component. thanks dtseckinger@gmail.com 706 332 3193 David

Hi David, Most likely the short in the light bulb socket caused damage to the control board aka a smart board. You had to unplug the microwave prior to this job as you have to do it with any electrical appliance. - The part number for the control board is AP3204117 Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for GE JVM1440BD003 | AppliancePartsPros.comGene.
