Our dishwasher is not providing enough water pressure to turn the spray arms. I have cleaned the filters that are at the bottom of the tub and felt the impeller at the right side of the tub. I can't feel any debris at the impeller and it is spinning. Any ideas?

Clean all spray arms and check the water level in the dishwasher. How did you know the circulation pump is working?

Now that you mention it, I don't know that the circulation pump is working. I only know that the impeller is turning and some water is getting to the spray arm. I can keep the door open as the dishwasher is cycling and observed the spray, water circulation, and felt the impeller spinning. The spray arms were cleaned as well as the filters.

Thanks for getting back to me and I hope you can help.

There is something wrong with the door switch. Also the circulation pump is in question. What is the complete model number of the dishwasher?

Model #: SHY56A05UC/14

As far as the door switch is concerned, I deliberatly trip the door so that it thinks it is closed so I can observe what the dishwasher is doing as it runs through the cycle. From that I determined:
1. The machine is filling and draining
2. The impellers are turning
3. The spray from the lower spray arm is feeble and there is no water coming from the upper spray arm.

Thanks again for getting back to me, and how can I check the circulator pump?

Have you checked the water level in the dishwasher?

Yes, and to make sure I added additional water to the tub during one of the cycles.
