How easy is it to replace the seal on the washer Whirlpool Duet?

I thought it was some sort of internal valve not stopping the water from coming into the washer but not sure which one. the water is never hot, always cold or room temp.
You are correct it is a valve. The water inlet valves for hot and cold are one assembly. See Item 1 in the "Dispenser parts" section. |

Well we were speaking the same language all along. That is the part I suspected all along. I just couldn't call it what is was, lol. Since it's not too much of an issue I can wait a bit on it but it's nice to know what to do next.
