The rinse agent is not dispensing. I've been using the dishwasher every other day for a couple of months and the rinse agent has not emptied at all and sitll completely full. The dishes are also spotted after washing and recently started having a little bit of smell afterwards. Any ideas on what part needs to be replaced? Or what could be wrong? The rinse agent definitely doesn't seem to be dispensing properly during the rinse cycle. Thanks!

Here is your parts breakdown. Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL DU811SWPQ3 | AppliancePartsPros.comLooks like it is mechanically actuated. Remove the inner door panel and check that the actuator etc. looks OK. If OK Remove the rinse aid dispenser and clean it out. Could be it is just gummed up. Note make yourself diagrams or take some digital pictures if it looks difficult to reinstall. I did notice you show the unit's age as less than a year so you may want to place a service call under warranty. Though you probably will be charged for the call if it is due to the rinse aid. On the other side of the coin you may void the warranty by opening it up. Here is a service manual the rinse aid section should be close to yours https://secured.whirlpoo...510938/$FILE/4322430.pdf |

Once we had a cap seal for the dispenser get gummed up. Make sure your seal is perfect and level. The manual simply says that all it does is send a power signal to the magneto which pumps a tiny single pump every 30 seconds during rinse. If the pump moves by hand/knife it should work. I bet your seal is not right and it's filling up with water.

I have a Maytag with this problem. It's only run once every week or two. I did not notice it, but this has been an issue from new. It is out of warranty period.
