2days ago freezer began to vary from 0 to 50 degrees with frequent clicking. Sometimes cold, sometimes warm. Refrigerator remain at about 38 degrees. Finally turned appliance off. Also compressor hot to touch. Coils and etc are clean of pet hair and dust. Is compressor bad or is it Start-Device combination or capacitor or compressor or none of above. Ref/freezer is 7 yrs 10 months old Whirlpool side-be-side

If condenser fan turning, seems like a bad compressor and, or refrigerant leak. Gauges would confirm.
